Ultimate Tag Warrior 2.8.5

Let’s try that again (:

– This time, the database should automagically update itself (instead of breaking tags (; )
– I’ve changed the way tag suggestions are requested; so if you weren’t able to use the old way, if you could try again and let me know if it’s still a problem that would be great (:

  1. i can get suggestions if i paste the text of my post in tagyu website, but when i click on ‘get keyword suggestions’ in post edit page , nothing is comming up.

  2. Christine,

I’ve got an idea for a major feature that others might find useful (as I would). Many of us are coming to tagging a little late in the game. My site has been up for about a year and a half, so I have a far amount of content that hasn’t been tagged. I’ve done my best to go back, but I know I’ve missed a lot.

Would it be possible to build an interface (with a mass edit mode) to identify untagged posts so that they can be tagged retroactively?

Just a thought… whether you decided to do something with it or not, UTW is a great gift to us all.

    Thanks,

    Bruce

  3. Yeah… that’s sort of what I was thinking. I tried writing a query to do something similar, but my SQL skills are worse than my PHP skills (which are entirely non existent).

I depend on the kindness of strangers… such as yourself.

  4. As everyone here, I really enjoy your plugin. So as everyone here, I wanna to thank you so much !

    I have two questions :

1/ Would it be possible to include some optional text in the configuration for the plugin, a text intended to take place BEFORE the tag list ? Release 2.8.3 automatically inserted something like “Technorati tags”. I would really let know to people not accustomed with tags what’s about.

2/ As Gerard before, I experience a problem with the rewriting tags. If I select “Use url rewriting[…]” (and then activate it under the permalink option), my blog cannot find any post related. Clicking on the internal tag page (rewrited to /blog/tag/%sometxt% for instance) only get me to a “not found” error.

Doing some test, I think it seems to be related to the premalink structure chosen. If I changed my actual “/%category%/%postname%/” to “/%postname%/”, everything works like a charm.

    Any ideas ?

  5. I’ve tried time and again to install UTW, but with only partial sucess.

The tagging fields show up on my write pages, but if I try to go to “Options>Tags” it can’t find the file.

For some reason it’s looking for
    /wp-admin/ultimate-tag-warrior-actions.php
    but the files are in
    /wp-content/plugins/UltimateTagWarrior/
    why is this happening?

Also, assuming I get UTW working, is there some way to make it easy for my readers to search for two tags (say “wordpress” “tagging”) without having to edit the URI itself?

This looks like a good piece of software, but I’m becoming leery of using it and unleashing it on my database if I can’t figure out how to even make it work.

I’m running version 1.5 of WordPress and did edit ultimate-tag-warrior-actions.php
